Which main dealers for servicing?

I messaged a VW/Audi specialist with the details of my car and gearbox, and they quoted me £180 for the DSG oil change. I contacted them again to check the price, and they confirmed it. Think I'll drop in when I'm next passing, and see if I was speaking to the right person.

Thats why you use a specialist, dealers are clueless. Awesome gti charge 360£ using genuine parts.

Thanks for the info. They did say they use genuine parts, and no doubt there's a large mark up on oil, but it does seem low.

Ok for comparisons sake here is another place. 325£ the oil is 180£ alone plus filter plus adaptations and labour costs. Dealer price per hour is always higher than specialists. So ask them what the will do and whats included for 180£ id love to hear.

I think they gave him price for just supplying the oil for him to do it himself, we will see though, hope fully he contacts them and updates here.

Amazing price considering it will be about 1.5 hours of labour plus parts. Labour is usually 80-100 an hour

In your other posts you said you have a cupra ? Cupra doesnt have dq250!

All Cupra pre GPF have 6 speed.

I think a lot of garages that quote DSG servicing for Cupras just base their quote on the older 6 Speed and most probably don’t realise they had 7 Speed 2019 onwards.

Certainly the 7 Speed on the 4Drive has the horizontal oil filter which makes it messy and awkward to change… hence why it’s not on the ‘official’ workshop guide.
(IDK if the FWD 7 speed has a horizontal filter btw)

Isn't the 6-speed a dq250?

My bad didnt realise they used the 250 in the old cupras, its quite a weak box compared to dq381 so assumed they only used it in fr and below.

I specifically asked for the cost to change the oil and filter in the 7 speed DSG gearbox in my 2019 Leon Cupra. And they said they only use genuine parts. Seeing as most "specialists" are quoting 40k miles for the service, and my car has done 19k I won't worry too much about it yet.
