Which Headunit???

Hi,

I have been looking at new headunits as I have a 2006 TFSI and there stereo isn't even the MP3 one???
I have noticed people saying they have fitted the VW RCD 510 keeping the steering wheel functions.
I was enquiring if I could fit the VW RCD 310 keeping all of the steering functions or better still the VW RCD 300 as they are a lot cheaper?

I can only speak for the RCD 310, as i used to have one, this will work with the current wheel functions. I think it looks good too. However if yo have a library of music, the RCD 510 may be better suited as it's touch screen and is easier to navigate around.

Or even better the RNS510. Decent bit of kit.

Will I need to code the RNS 310 to the car, I have heard something about this and something about it draining your battery???

Remember I have a Pre FL TFSI.

I have to say that looks like a good bit of kit for the money. The only reason I want to go with the RCD 310 is because I will be getting the RCD 310 with DAB for £30 off my mate.

Looks good, which model is it? I was looking at a VNS or a Eonon on eBay the other day. Any issues with battery drain? Or did you upgrade the can gateway?
