i dont think im going to have enough pipe to reach that bit where you have put urs! is there another place that i can put it? i have seen that quite a few people have cut into the vacum hose that comes off the dv? where is the best place to get the most accurate reading?

Yeh you can 'T' into the vac pipe on top of the dump valve or as Leeroy said into the brake servo line. I personally fixed mine to the fuel pressure regulator as it gives the most accurate reading i found.....

I removed the plastic water catch tray at the bottom of the windscreen then fed the vac pipe through the rubber grommet next to the wiper motor back under the dash (above the pedals) Then all you gota do is run the pipe to wherever your mounting the gauge and 'T' into the pipe running from the inlet manifold to the FPR. But bear in mind you will need a fair amount of vac pipe to reach!

I think Leeroys is the more preffered method as its probably more straight forward and there is no cutting involved.

in the end i put the T piece in the vacum hose that comes off the DV but when i boot it the boost gauge only reads 5psi? is that right or have i got a leak sumwhere? on idle it reads 21 vacum if that makes sense!

hope sum1 can help!

I presume its a standard Cupra (not re-mapped)? When at idle it should be reading around -20ish vacuum and around 5-6psi peak boost. A re-mapped cupra will be spiking at around the 20psi mark depending on the mapping.

ah right thats alright then! i forgot to mention that it was standard! even tho i thought that with a standard cupra you would be able to get 7PSi?

oh dear that now makes me think that i have a bit of a issue sumwhere then! i will go and give her a bit of a thrashing later and see what it tops out at!

thrashing it dosent give you full boost if i thrash mine i get around 16 psi but putting my foot down in 5th from 20 mph up through rev range i hit 20psi try loading and letting turbo spool up on full throttle that give max boost
