As above, try dealers anyone you can get a number for really! Worth making a quick call.

I suspect most places will have gone to the newer higher price of £45 though. I got mine the week before they went up luckily! Being careful with this one though..

I want to get one of these and fit it to my LC, just saw them in the thread with all the lovely pictures of your cars in.

Would be great to know where to get one cheap, also then got to work out how to fit it to my LC

Just found one for £29:

Can these be fitted to a LC?

Just had a thought too- does this count as modifying your car? Do you need to inform the insurance company about it? I am just really cautious at the moment as I cannot change anything on my car with my insurance company until I am 25, and wouldnt want to invalidate my insurance for something tiny like that

seat know how to handle their loyal customers..

ok so the prices will have gone up a bit.. but more than doubling? i suspect there may be an issues of splitters dissapearing

Was told by my local dealership that they were charging over £90 for one because Porsche drivers were buying them. Not sure what model Porsche they fit but were cheaper than originals they required slight trimming though. Prices did'nt last long as they received complaints, this was last August & I managed to buy two for £46 plus VAT.

£46 for 2 or each? When did you buy them? If they are that cheap I will just buy from a dealer again and not pay for postage.

Also do you know a part number for them?

Also I just rung up Direct Line with a general enquiry and they said that a rubber/plastic front lip of about 3cm on the bottom of a car to protect it doesnt count as a modification, incase anybody else was worried (probably stupidly) like I was! lol

And that guide is awesome, thank you Pyro

Cheers

im going to buy one today. when you have all the screws in the splitter and are ready to attach it to the bottom of the bumper it says to

You need to hold the splitter up to the bumper and screw it in place

Do you literally just screw the screws into/through the bodywork on the bottom? Like just force the screws into the bumper?

Cheers

thats what i did... except i drilled tiny pilots so you dont have to brute force it. the screws wont hold it forever... and if you hit a curb (mines quote low) then expect to rip the screws out.

I didnt use bolts because im quite low, and should i need to get it off by the side of the road jobs a goodun.

When you say they rip out, does that damage the body work or just on the splitter?
My car is standard height and will stay that way for the foreseeable future- do you think I will have problems with it hitting speed bumps (I am already careful of curbs so hopefully that isnt a problem)? Dont want to buy it then it getting ripped off straight away

Just called up the SEAT dealer and its the same price through them as on partsworld. They said they put the price up from £20 due to the fact that people were selling them for more online- bloody people who are ripping people off online have caused all of them to go up.
I cant really afford to spend £37 on the splitter at the moment =( if anybody sees them cheaper or wants to sell one please let me know
