One of my mates mentioned that some people had mentioned that the HIDS can have an effect on the radio, anyone else experienced this?

When I turn mine on it messes my audio up if im listening to my aux kit, dont think it does it on normal cd changer or radio, to fix it I have to turn the radio off and back on. I need to look further into this though as I think it may be as a result of a shortcut I took regarding the earth for the AUX kit interface box.

I also have a problem whereby when I turn on the lights my aux input goes very crackly, if i switch off the radio and switch it back on then its ok. I think this is more down to me cutting a corner with the earth connection for the aux kit itself or a radio fault as this was randomly happening before fitting the lights.

I have now got a crackling sound but not due to hids but since fitting a DM200 gauge, it was fine with the scangauge.
Not sure if the radio needs suppressing or the new gauge, if i remove the fuse for the gauge it stops, but i get the sound through the gauge, or whether it's neither and just a very bad earth?

I tested mine with a better earth for the aux kit and it made no difference so its not my shortcut thats causing it lol.

Is yours always there or can it be rectified by switching the radio off and on?

Its odd that on mine the radios fine, its just my Cd changer and aux kit although the CD changer now runs through the aux kit to allow both to co exist. I would guess some form of supressor may be necessary but I havent got as far as trying yet.

Mine is on the radio reception, it's like i can hear the data being "pooled" by the gauge.
Can't be rectified by switching the radio on/off.
