You can't find it because it's not there...

I could tell you where it is, but then I'd have to kill you. :)

Not without our express permission.

The problem is that we don't believe that 'true' group buys exist, but we do believe that some companies will advertise as such, and get through the door of leeching from the forum.

They're extremely hard to police, and given that most of us work >45hrs a week for our proper jobs that we then don't have the time / inclination / need to sift through the dozens of emails a day that we get regarding this. So we just don't

We do encourage our paid sponsors to make full advantage of their sections, should they want to run a GB, but given that 'we' as individuals make nothing from SCN we can't dedicate any time to running these for people

fair comment! :D
when the section was available i could tell that there was alot of admin involvement due to the application / setting up process and general policing of a group buy. :(
also working alot of hours, my spare time is also precious, so i can appreciate that alot of these were a big waste of your time.

i was asking because the last group buy of interest was one for upper rear strut braces for the Ibiza & Leon (not forge), which IIRC around 20+ members purchased.
i missed because i was on honeymoon (i knew she'd come between my car and I eventually ).
anyway:whistle:, around xmas time a thread was started enquiring about said part for the ibiza.
i was going to see if there was currently enough interest for a GB.
haven't contacted the manufacturer yet as i thought a rough number would be needed for the enquiry:shrug:

is this a possibility?
no worries if it isn't, thought i'd ask....

I sorted the last group buy for the braces. It did take a fair bit of organising and went fairly smoothly, albeit a little delayed. The Admin were kind enough to allow it to be setup.

It's just a shame individual members can't have a section for their group buys as the sponsers have their own sections etc... but I can't blame m0rk or the admin for giving any extra time to regulate this.
They all give enough of their time to the forum and still have their own life/jobs to be getting on with.

yeah, i remember it being you who organised the GB with the manufacturer.;)

fully agree that the admin have enough to do with the general running of the forum without out any additional stuff to oversee. :D

just thought i'd make an enquiry, but i'll see if they company will just make mine for now.;)
aren't they local to you Allan? do you know them personally?

Mike will make a one off or cater for a group buy. I will PM you his details.
His business is local to me and I only know him from the group buy. Sound bloke though.
