When did you order, when is it arriving?

I ordered the Cupra Formentor V2 1.5 DSG auto at the beginning of Nov 21. Only addition requested was a space saver tyre. Just been advised by Arnold Clark my build date is week 11. Was originally told delivery would be June. It would appear to be coming earlier.

I just don't understand the delivery times, seems so random, I've got a Leon FR ST with couple small options on order from first week of August with no build week, I've had estimated dates, but at the moment it's sitting at status 00.

Also slightly off topic, but does anyone know when the MY changes, is it around June, what build week would it be?

Not sure if anyone has seen this article from Germany??

Obviously some options might be different etc, but gives a rough idea how long people might have to wait?

My Seat Leon I've worked out to be around 10 months, so could be around June /July for delivery. Which would be a pain, as thats roughly when the model year change is, I'd be happy if it was model year 23 instead of 22!

Looks about right with what we already know 👍. Missing is the Top-view camera option, this is currently a 12 week delay.

I was in the dealership at weekend and was told that for a 1.5 TSI V2 I'd be looking at around 8-10 weeks on a factory order. However having just called nationwide to enquire about leasing it, I was told they estimate October! Is that just because dealers can get them sooner, or were I being led a merry dance by a salesman to get me to place an order??

The dance has begun! :LOL:. It seems dealers are giving the stock "It'll be about 10-12 weeks mate". Even when they know, only too well, that this is not the case in reality. Think this is to get you to place an order, in the belief they can let you down gently as things get delayed. Once you place an order and you get 10 weeks in they are pretty sure you won't cancel and will suffer the delay. They know that it will be hard to cancel an order and start again elsewhere as you will just find yourself in the same boat (unless you go for used).

Cupra status codes go along the lines of:
0 = Order received
00 = Order confirmed (This can also mean awaiting parts)
10 = Production planning (est build week)
20 = Confirmed build week
30 = Vehicle built
40 = Awaiting transport
50 = Transport confirmed
60 = On route to destination
70 = Delivered to destination

There are codes inbetween but this is a guide to where you might be in the process 👍
Mines on code 20 . Build week 5 ?! . When I enquired about removing the top view camera ,the dealer told me that's impossible due to the car beeing in code 20 but dealership support told him is due to chip shortage rather than the top view camera and the car is waiting for chips? ?

Hi, I also had build week 5 for my car and I called in wk6 to see if the car had in fact been built. I was then told that there was an issue with the Top-View camera (indeed this is to do with chip shortage). Dealer stated that a notice had come from Cupra to say that cars with TV cameras will likely see a 12 week delay. I asked them to remove the camera as its a nice to have but not essential. They have duly removed this from my build spec and I now have build wk11. My vehicle is also on Cupra code 20 currently.

This is the message I've received today:
"I’ve just got off the phone with dealer support regarding your order,
They believe it is the semi conductor issue that is causing the delay in build rather than the top view camera option, however because it is status 20 and assigned a build week I’m actually unable to alter the order at this point."

Is your vehicle a PHEV? There are issues with chips for Cupra PHEV's currently. Perhaps this is what they are referring to?

Nope. VZ2 310 . Only added 360⁰ camera and magnetic tech grey .
So, same model as the one I have on order. Don't really understand why I could remove the camera system from my build as I really didn't want to wait a further 12wks on top of an already long wait, yet you cannot remove it 🤷‍♂️. Mayhem....... To be honest its almost too much to try and fathom this all out! There seems to be so many issues with car manufacture at the moment, I don't really think anyone know what is going on for sure.
