Just wanted to keep you updated on the progress of your vehicle. Unfortunately your vehicle did not go into build as planned and build dates have now been removed. This is due to the global conductor chip shortage.

I’m guessing it’s a VZ model! Can I ask which build week you were originally told?

That’s surprising. I thought they were prioritising V2 models. Bummer for you.

I’ll contact Cupra tomorrow and see if my V2 is still going into production next week. Fingers crossed it is.

Ahhh ok, thought you had some special Cupra app that gave you progress of the build. That’s what I’ll be doing tomorrow to contact them.

Exactly what I was thinking but then again the cupra tracker is generic info and doesn't update till 10 working days after your build date

I’ve just chatted to Cupra. My car ordered mid April has still not moved from the factory. I was hoping it would be on the ship Aquarius Ace that left a couple of days ago. Obviously not. It’s not even at the port. They would not commit due to circumstances blah blah, but now looking at a 2022 delivery. Totally hacked off.

That's shockingly bad. Sorry to add to your woes of other people's orders being fulfilled but, I ordered a VZ2 last week of April (24th I think) and am collecting tomorrow.

I have a car so I don’t need a courtesy, it’s the fact that people on here have ordered the exact same car are now happily driving their pride and joys. No explanation given other than fob, fob, fob. I asked if the car actually exists as I’m not convinced. They said it was completely finished on July 7th having been held up waiting parts for 2 weeks. Part of me wants to walk away from Cupra, just so frustrating. I need to stop asking the question I think.

Hi mate, I have the exact same car and mine was actually built 30th July and shipped immediately to uk. Can’t see how yours has been held up if built earlier. Their not being entirely honest with you IMO.

I’m coming to the same conclusion. I asked them how they decide which cars get sent where and when. They said they have no control over that! I wonder if dealerships and lease companies can lean on them to get their cars and meet targets. So a dealership with no leverage gets put to the bottom of the pile.

Leasing companies bulk order from what I know. Whereas dealerships order on demand. Your car should have been ready before mine but for whatever reason it hasn’t been prioritised over other orders.

Collected yesterday at10:00am. Cleaned, polished and pleased as punch. I’m once again impressed and it’s behaving itself.

Edit: still can’t think for the love of me why they decided to leave the front heater/volume controls “in the dark” when the new rear ones are lit up.
Go figure.

Looking spiffing mate. Had mine a couple of days, and haven’t logged into Cupranet and driving as a guest, and so far so good. Only thing I’ve had was Front assist slammed on the anchors today for no reason whatsoever. Infotainment working spot on. Really pleased with mine overall and love the drive.

I’ve set the assist stuff to late and so far (touch wood) it’s ok. When I picked it up I logged in there and then and the dealer said it’s been updated, however I received two more over the air updates immediately.
I also notice it’s much easier to get the ACC/cruise etc activated than the last one, all on the wheel ans nothing on the stalks.
