Out delivering Christmas Cards this afternoon travelling from Kilbarchan to Bridge of Weir (of no significance but if you know the area) on a narrow road and somw twat in a Vauxhall Zafira comes round a bend partly on my side of the road. It was either run into him or skelp the kerb - Don't really think it was my decision but my hands turned the wheel and I hit the kerb.

Both my nearside alloys got a proper kerbing, not just scraped but metal damage to the rim. No damage to the face. Got some wet and dry paper and had a go at giving the effected area a rub down but it's way past that. I've touched the bare metal up with Arctic Grey paint which is not an exact match but it's better than letting the elements get at it!

My question is - anybody know a good place in the Renfrewshire area that can refurb them to a good standard and get a good colour match? I know there is a place in Paisley (Old Smeddon St) and a guy in Renfrew (Poss near the Bingo hall) but any reccomndations for these places or elsewhere would be good.

Cheers.

Yeah, been looking around and seen a place near to me who seem quite good. MCS in renfrew, i'll be in for a quote in the new year. Just gutting that my pride and joy which I spent hours washing yesterday and got looking great after a month of rain and salty roads now has a zit! I could probably get away with just getting the front wheel done but think i'll go for both nearside ones in case the colours a bit different.
