Wheel hub covers

Just noticed that a couple of the plastic covers in the centre of the wheels are not completely flush. They haven't seated properly where the hole is that you use to pull them out. There appears to be a bit of plastic at the back of the cover at this point which is preventing it from seating in properly.

Is there a special way to get them back in properly? or do they only fit flush in one particular position? I'm a bit worried that they might fall off if not put on fully. Also it's annoying me now that I've noticed it !

Yeah, there's a notch in the alloy that the plastic tab should line up with - they have to go on in a specific position

Don't know why they do this - it seems utterly pointless (take care not to scratch the alloys taking them off again)

Thanks, I had a feeling this would be the case but I didn't try spinning the cover around just in case I broke something. I'll have a go at getting them back on properly later.
