Yep, the TT 312mm discs are the same. Thats what I'm running, drilled and grooved with DS2500 pads, and they nearly put you through the window when you stamp on them :D

Sounds far too tempting! Girlfriend is wanting to go away though before new year, she said she understands the car comes first though if not hahaha Right dilema! Gonna have to see what money is like after the front end bushes are done and tracked up, then get hunting a set of leon fr+ wheels down!

and ive got loads of threads left on the front of mine, 13 threads in all. Its depressing that i could lower it more but then theres the endless scrubbing and sump bashing :(

Ad Lav, car looked immense! Always wondered what the rear bumper would look like without the reflectors! What happened with your old ibiza?

Sold it to buy a house :(

I really miss it actually, although I wouldn't buy it back as its probably been ragged by an unsympathetic driver!

Standard Cupra on left, mine on the right lowered as far as poss with adjuster cups in +15mm spacers. Have since removed adjuster cups.

this thread is intersting... i have just changed my suspension to Koni FSD dampers and eibach pro springs which have made the front lower by 30mm and i have been experiencing rubbing at the front...to the point where just today i looked at my inside splash guard and it now has a hole after the rubbing!
this is how is sits now

that doesn't look that low to me.

Have you done the obvious, and checked your alignment camber/toe etc, and made sure the splash guard is attached properly, and not hanging too low perhaps?

Mine is much lower that that, Uzi. About 1 finger width from tyre to arch and I dont scrub unless I'm realy pushing it and hit a large bump.

sorry to bring this thread up again but still having the same problem! its so odd because as said its not as low as other people. the camber is not adjustable because the control arm does not have extra gaps for the ball joint to be moved hence the camber cant move, am i right?
could the dampper itself be pushed down too much into the hub? what other things could i check? had the car on the ramp and everything is still quite stiff/solid so cant be bushes?

when i had standard shocks on and lowering springs i experienced what you are. I think it was because the sping rate was mis matched to the damping rate. Taking into account the heavy engine weight too, sounds plausable. I may be asking a silly question here but are your shocks and springs specific to the 1.9 tdi cupra, or were they just specific to the ibiza?

i bought them form a suspension specialist and spoke to him too and he confirmed that the shockers are specific for my car, and the springs i bought from awesome gti and told him what car i needed them for so dont think they would have given me the wrong springs...but did not ask awesome...hmmm i think the springs could be the problem.

No worries matey. Just with the springs i ordered i think they covered the full range, and the front was quite bouncey and i got rubbing issues like you. I reckon with stiffer shocks it would have been fine. The fsd's vary in stiffness dont they, so might be the same reason why they are rubbing, when they arnt been stiff? Just confusing, cant think of any other reasons. Cos since i lowered mine loads on coilies it doesnt rub half as much as it used to and its that low i cant get a finger between the arch and tyre lol

hmm i think it may well be the springs then. before i start stripping everything off and having a look myself i think i'll give it to a suspension specialist and get them to have a look at it and try diagnose the problem. the thing that is getting to me the most is that the koni fsd and eibach pro set up has been recommended by so many other vag cars like the golf etc. ive sat in my mates golf with the same set up and its amazing! also on my mates leon cupra r...

was gonna say the lcr lot seem to love it! Your pretty much the first one to have it on the mk4 though arnt you?

Hope it gets sorted soon anyway matey! Dunno if your the same but i get quite cut up when things arnt 100% so i get how you must feel. Does it handle well and all that? Or is the front end pretty bouncey and feel wallowy?

i think im the first to have it on the mk4 because when i was trying to decide what i want to go for i searched on the forum but nobody had it so thought because i knew it was a really good set up id try it out...it does feel great when driving sensibly, its like a limo ride very comfortable, and it is true when you drive hard the suspension stiffens up and its stable with a strong sporty ride...until it starts rubbing.

so yea i do hate when things are not 100% right, especially when u have experience of it working so well elsewhere
