I agree with Fr Flavoured. people who have bad experiences, not just the car, but anything will tell 10 people about their experience, if they have a good experience, generally don't tell anyone. Forums are great at finding or sorting problems, and it may seem like the car has a lot of problems, but put in perspective, how many are actually on the road to how many have problems. Iused to work at a Ford/Kia/Nissan/Fiat dealer, and 90% of the customers who owned them did not have any problems, but they don't tell anyone how good the product is. People only hear about the 10% that go wrong.

Hey dave, I'm being totally honest. I can say that the problems I had are not too unexpected.

The door latches going on my car, I would not be surprised as the car has anti hijacking. Meaning the car will lock up after around 10mph. Abit like a black cab taxi.

The injectors are a common thing around here. If you search for injector problems, which the FR tdi has. Well you could always look for one that has had them changed.

The dampners kinda surprised me.

All in this car has had around 3k ish work done to it since dec'10. For a car that's only 56 Reg. Coming up for 5 years old. Have a good search on the things I mentioned.

Good luck
