IMO 17s do affect the handling and acceleration a fair bit, I'd definately go for 16s if I were to buy a new set as a compromise of looks/handling. The car aint fast anyway, exactly! why make it even slower

I think you'll be better of doing it that way. Gives you more time then to decide what style you want to go for.

Like has been said, look on ebay for some audi/skoda/vw 16inch alloys with tyres to run round on? My mate has polo 1.2 with A8 replicas, looks quality but is soooo slow!

Im going 2 get tyres put on them, obviously and the point was to get some cheap 16" alloy wheels to last me through winter and finally shut people up at college lol. and idd it was incl postage hes brining them to mine himself, as its not too far from me
