What size Surfboard can you fit in a Formentor?

Hi, first post go easy!

This is a bit a of random/niche question, hopefully someone has an answer.

Im currently looking into getting a Formentor or a Leon Estate. I do prefer the Formentor but i have a 9'4 surfboard il like to fit inside my future car! Obviously, I will purchase roof bars for either car to transport the board, but it is nice to have the option of loading it into the inside when its just me, or, more importantly, locking it in when I am wandering around after surfing. Currently, I own a VW Scirocco, so either car would be a step up in terms of practicality.

Ive been down to the dealer with a tape measure and it definitely fits the Leon Estate, but it is borderline/doubtful on the Formentor, so I am not sure how I can test it without taking my board down there.

So any surfers here fit a longboard inside??

Think you would struggle with the surf board. I had 2.4m piece of wood in the car through the ski hatch and was just able to close the boot lid with it about an inch from the dashboard.

No chance. Roof bars would sort it.
