I am lookin into buyin a hid kit for my cupra can you tell me what kit you guys have an where you got them also if you ever had any problem with them plz .

i believe h7 kits are available for approx £30 delivered on fleabay? had a set on my old car without complication. gonna be ordering a set soon for mine

i just been looking an i want them bright an 6000k colour but what watts do i get there are kits that are 35w or 50-55w not sure what to get..

i have not had any probs after 2+ years of working life...

i may upgrade to the 55w or 75w kits though as they seem to emmit a huge amount more light!

I was in the same boat. As read many a thread about them and seemed alot didnt have any problems but when people did it seemed they were left out of pocket sorting it out. And isnt cheap sending back to abroad.

I searched and found a seller on ebay. Not sure of name as at work but its £30 plus 29.99 deliver. From London way. I ordered 6k ones (and they all come with slim ballasts). Came through about 2 days later. Was a philips set. Took 5minutes to fit. Just all plugs together.

Just ordered a mate some from same seller. Again no problems. Not got round to fitting them yet though to dark on the nights.

If you look in my project thread you will see the lights at night. Light up well i think.

just seen the ones from london cheers davem and i know cupra head lights are plastic dose any one know if the 55w ones will be to bright and hot for the lenses cause seen a set that are 55w super bright .
also thanks mikey kc had a look at them ones but think they might take to long to get here as want them for the week end but cheers gives me an idea..

i have seen 75w HID's behind cupra headlights... they didnt show any marks of getting hot

just ordered a set they are h7 and 6000k but dont say what watts the bulbs are and they are slim ballest ones let you know how i get on when they get here cheers for the help guys..

will they pass an mot ok, ive always thought they had special regulations on them, like headlight washers etc?

really want a set of these!!

mine have got through 2 mot's without any probs. never heard of an issue with them in the mot before
