Right guys ive got myself a seat leon se110 remapped by AMD and it has a straight throught exhaust no silencers or cats, and its too loud for my liking attracts too much attention, what are you guys running on your car.
u got a part number for the miltek exhaust system mate as i find them confusing as they sell each part seperate, also what engine size do i buy it for as knowone lists them for a 1.9tdi?
also whats resonated and non resonated what does this actually mean also do i need to have a cat, i can get milteks at cost price so should i get a full system? On there website they only have the twin tailpipe backbox, anyone got any pics of what it looks like fitted.
Q. What is a resonator and what's the difference between a resonated and non-resonated exhaust system?
A. A resonator is a chamber in the exhaust system that contains a specific volume of air
which is designed to cancel out certain frequencies of sound (made by the engine) - making the exhaust noise quieter.
Therefore, a non-resonated exhaust system will give you extra performance and a louder exhaust note and the resonated system will give you extra performance without increasing the exhaust noise much.
thanks mate, im probably going to get a miltek one, it looks nice, just got to arrange the account with miltek through work and it shall be on its way, im going to go for a resonated one as i want it a bit quiter. Anyone run a miltek system?

i couldnt get a big enough discount through work from miltek so opted for a stainless jetex twin tailpipe, just hope it makes it quiter than it is now. Anyone running a jetex system, what does it sound like want to hear it, should be getting it next week hopefully.
Hi mate,
Sorry just seen this thread.
I've got a Jetex system on mine and it's been great, i have also fitted a milltek de-cat pipe and the car still sounds fine, the only problem was the downpipe doesn't fit that well so I need to get back under the car and sort it at some point, the Jetex system was a great fit though. The jetex system is none resonated by the way.
No not at all, just a nice wooosh as you go through the gears but not over the top at all and the car feels alot smoother to drive over standard aswell.
Which tailpipe design have you gone for? Sounds like Jetex are waiting for more stock to arrive but shouldn't be much longer though.
