Slinger : I went out and tried to do some soundclips for you this afternoon, and they were rubbish mate, the exhaust note just drowns the induction kit out tbh, my advice would be to just pop along to a localish meet (there are a few near you) or pop down to the essex meet im gonna do in March, and blag a ride in a few cars that have different kits on mate, sorry i couldnt get ya a good clip, they are just way to quiet to hear. :(

cheers mate for trying, as for the local meets - my location of "north of watford" is just a gag, some people forget that there is life north of london! - i'm from sunny morecambe i'm afraid  which right this very second IS caressed by lovely sunsheeeiine! maybe i should go to one of the more northern meets.

thanks again.

Ok I might be able to organize a group buy as my uncle is the sales manager for Auto Inparts.

I need some information as I need to get a full kit so i can get a full price.

Obviously we need a 300BHP capable filter and intake hose. This is all not a problem, what I need from you guys is to know the best way to fit it to the MAF?

Is it best just with a bit of silicone hose? If so what is the outer diameter of the MAF for the LCR, LC etc.. How long does it need to be? I pick my LCR up on sat so if no one can provide me with this information I can just get it myself. But I’m going to see my uncle on Friday so would be a good idea to go in there knowing what I need!!

Anyone got a pic of any enclosed induction kit available??

modshack on my car has been outstanding, it is enclosed and there is absolutely no heatsoke watsoever, it sounds good and gives the car all the air it required, i would highly recommend them to anyone and the guy is good to deal with...

Currently running a BMC panel filter, in stock air box, but after reading about the smoothed air box mod, with a cold feed, I'm going to try that when I can get round to it.

Having had induction kits on my 2 previous cars (Prelude vtec) although they sounded awesome, I found it a bit wearing, after a while, also I not entirly convinced there are any decent performance gains to be had for your £200 over the smoothed AB, from what I've been reading on other threads.

The other benifit is a stock looking AB over an induction kit is insurence friendly, should you have any little problems, like stacking you car into something and you didn't tell, you had modded it... :(

Are all these filters oiled?

I've read loads in the past about oiled filters causing problems with mafs. Have any of you considered this, or are you willing to accept that sooner or later you may have problems with the maf due to running an oiled filter, and its easy enough to replace so you're not worried?

My BMC panel filter came lightly oiled, not (touch wood) had any probs with Maf so far, filters been in about 6 months.

Although i have read K&N panel can cause Maf probs...

its all about the sound for me, i want something that roars! from readint his thread it seems that the two kits that do this are the ramair and the dynatwist. the reason ive decided on the dynatwist is because it seems that there are some fitting issues with the ramair.

no fitting issues with my ramair, sounds great on throttle too.
The ramair has more parts to fit together but when its complete looks and works spot on.

iirc the ramair is the loudest. Fits fine here, I don't use the mounting bracket, just a scrunched up sponge underneath!! Seems a bit ghetto I know but isolates the maf nicely and you can't see the sponge.

just had a look on ebay and the ramair is going for £68.99:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ramair-Seat-L...ryZ36680QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

and the raid maxflow for £99.95:

http://www.raidhp.co.uk/ pn. 522103

are these the right kits for a 2003 210 lcr? also, surely there must be some difference in quality between these and the circa £200 dynatwist?

Looks like the Ebay one is not the max flow one with the heat sheld, is just an open cone foam filter really.
Raid one is a good price :) I paid 120 for mine about 18 months ago.
