drill your airbox or fit a large open cone filter :) or fit a some kind of hybrid dv, gfb50:50 or forge split'r for example.

I wouldn't bother with ram air. A simple open cone from jetex or green cotton will give much better results. The old air aspect is not so important on a turbo'd car as the turbo heats the air up to over 100 degrees anyway, the intercooler cools it back down before entering the engine.

hmmmm ok, so would any cone filter do?

i thought that the 007p dv was the best for the leon cupra?

There are many good cone filters about such as Jetex and Green Cotton etc. have a read through this thread to make your mind up.

007p is arguably the best fully recirc valve for the 1.8T. But if you want part atmos blow off then there are a few of equal if not greater quality. Have a search and read the thread I posted the link to earlier.

gfb50:50, kompact dual port, forge split'r. google is your friend! gfb's are few and far between, as are the kompacts. forge split'r you can get direct through forge or one of the forum sponsors. HTH

If K&N filters arn't recommended then why are jabbasport & P-flo selling them as part of their induction kits?

I think its more people cleaning these filters in the past and then over oiling them.

Agreed. They are fine until some numpty over oils it then MAF gets contaminated. I had a K&n on for over 6 months and no issues at all.

Now have a Jetex and only changed because it was blue to match my engine bay :p

Thanks Willy! I wanted to be a bit different than the usual blue hoses and matching blue jetex cone (even tho it does look good) that seems to be happening on here alot these days!

my LCR is running a k&n apollo

not my cuppa tea but thats what the car came with, its a closed system so is quite quiet and doesn't give off a horrible loud induction groan, i have a milltek 2 produce noise lol

once i get sum funds together i'll be replacing it with a yellow jetex open cone as thats what most folks suggest running, plus it'll match my car and what i wanna do with the bay i.e colour code with yellow samcos etc etc
