im going to banded some G60 steelies for my mk2 Golf. just to throw it into the mix

you can pick the steelies up for 50-70quid, its 300 to get them banded... how many decent quality alloys can you get that are 7.5"on the front and 8" on the back for sub £400.

just an idea

Should look good brummy bee better with a full shot of the side of the car. i have noticed a lot of polished ones coming up for sale for scenish prices

Dont have a full side piccy fella , only a dodgy p'chop on of my lads did ;)
only really put the rim on then due to having the rear wheel off at the time *adjusting* the rear bumper ;)

I hear ya fella.. just my more Pedantic side kicked in there for a moment
;)

If done properly, Mk2's can look VERY good in the euro style, I quite often go over onto Cleaned , lowtuners and suchlike to see whats what in the World of euro etc, and there some pretty nicely laid out mk2's on there..Im not really going the Euro -route myself ,altho there will be some Euro styling in the end product
(well, if there ever IS an end product ,y'no how these things go.... )
:)

That's cool.

I've seen afew Euro Mk2's that have been done well that look okay. I fell in love with the F2 rally car which is probably why i'd follow that route.

I'll agree with you there. I'm all about standard bumpers and 16" wheels. I love the F2 car, but wouldn't want mine to look like it!

If money was no object i'd have a set of these...

problem is that they are about £1,500 each seeing as they are made from a carbon fibre rim and forged magnesium centre :D

Why thank you :)

I've always prefered the standardish look on the mk2, think it comes from walking into work for my interview seeing a brand new black magic cupra sport sat in the showroom and instantly falling in love with it
