I did a BSR Stage 1 remap on my 2015 ST Cupra
280 DSG during the weekend. I have their PPC3 unit and have been running their maps on my previous two cars without issues (2005 Golf MKV GTI and 2015 Fabia 1.2 TSI). Initial feelings are good and there's definitely a lot more grunt but due to the amount of snow we got during the weekend I haven't been able to do any serious pulls yet.
I know it's been discussed a lot on the forum but do you guys have any suggestions on
how to maintain the DSG without mapping it for best longevity? BSR claims 359 HP and 462 Nm with their Stage 1 map. Do you think the DSG copes fine with these figures if WOT is applied only above say 3000-3500 RPM (which I tend to do anyway)?
