Longterm mileage reset itself back to zero at 99.6 hours/2750 miles approx, so I presume it must be the hours max (states 99.59 hours.mins in Media book) that tripped it. Was at 29.3 MPG.

Was yesterday, on the way to Nephew's birthday party with my boy's. car pulled out right in front of me, couldn't stop and hit her. Been hospital this morning as getting pains in neck all night, I've got whiplash but Lucky my boy's are fine so am not too bothered about myself. Ring insurance tomorrow and get car sorted.

Here some pic's not sure how much damage behind bumper but washer bottle was empty this morning.

It'll be a new bumper (£850 ish) and all the plastic support gubbins behind it will need replacing as it will have shattered to absorb the force of the impact. Plus any more bits like washer bottle.

Sorry but family safe. Good reactions on your part

Not trying to be a smartass or go off subject, but aren't we meant to ensure posted photos don't have the registration number showing? Not getting at you CJ (I truly sympathise with you) but, if I am right, a gentle reminder to all.

Your right, I have mentioned this before, but if folk want to tell everyone on this site were they have their car kept that's up to them. It is stated in the rules of the site if you post photo's of SOMEONE ELSE'S car with reg details then the site police will remove them. All my photo's have the reg doctored as I don't want to advertise where my car is kept.

How does 3 letter's work out as showing my Reg? be hard working the first lot out from that pic really..

There's actually quite a lot of information there. Your profile says you live in Rochdale, registration plate says you bought the car in Oldham - presumably David Cook Motors, if I blew the pic up I'd see who's marketing the house down your street & there's a big yellow skip on your street too. Then if you click on the picture it takes you to your photo bucket page where there are pictures of your car with the complete plate showing!!

I have just posted a pic of my car showing the (Spanish) reg number.

I could not care less who sees it and it is my decision as to whether I show it, not for some forum rule to tell me otherwise.

Perhaps someone could kindly explain exactly what the perceived risks are?

I think it is to make it harder for the criminal fraternity to clone your car Fred. But it does seem a bit silly as the reg plate is on display every time you go out in the car........

Yeh but crims use sites like this to read up about cars they fancy and then pop round to have it away, your neighbors being interested are a lot less likely, but it's your car, remember to say on facebook when you go on your hols too.

What did I do in my Leon today, well went to my wife's place of work today to swap cars over as I was taken my disabled mother shopping, my wife's car is a Peugeot 5008 and has a lot more space to get my mums wheel chair in.
On leaving the old peoples home I hit a post when reversing out and damaged the bumper and front wing. What a bit of luck I hit my wife's car and not my CUPRA if I don't say any thing to her she will think some one hit her car in the car park at her works place (not much damage a lot t-cut out). Took her car back swapped the cars round again and drove home, that's what I done in my Leon today.

If you had taken the Leon, the parking sensors would have stopped you hitting the post.

Too me location is probably more important than plate, try to avoid showing road names, for sale signs etc.

none of the picture's where taken at my house so am not too bothered..

The pic could be anywhere, it is the reg they need, quick call to DVLA and they have registered address. I used to register my cars to a girlfriends address that I did not keep the car at, also stops the boys in blue popping round to see you.

Isn't that slightly dodgy... ?

No, if the DVLA gives out my details to anyone who coughs up the fee, why should I provide my address so someone can come and find my car (and I told the police this when stopped once) if it is a insurance query etc, it will still get to me so I am not hiding away, just my car.
