How is the exhaust sounding now that you’ve had the blockage removed with the resi delete.....

It’s good, I’m keeping an eye (or ear) in it to see if I notice anything that seems odd. Generally it’s louder, but not uncomfortably so. I think the general noise in the car is higher having just replaced my tyres (hopefully that’s just a consequence of fitting new tyres, and they will quieten down as I put some miles on). Still not noticed any drone, but then again I haven’t actually gone about 60mph since I got the work done.

I took a video of a cold start this morning and may upload it later on once I have edited out my ugly face...

Today I discovered someone wasn’t happy with me parking outside their house last night, I think!?

Omg!!!

I feel your pain. Same exact thing happened to my Bmw a few years ago, they keyed along the entire side and to top it off threw an egg on the roof (which dissolved the paint). Hopefully you’ll be able to find a decent bodywork shop who can fix it for a reasonable price. I find with stuff like that that going through the insurance may end up being more expensive in the long run with loss of no claims and premium hikes

It’s so frustrating, I’d rather they put a nasty note on my windscreen if they were unhappy! Insurance have said I’d lose 2 years of my no claims and have to pay £200 excess. Going to a local bodyshop today to get a quote, hopefully it’s not too bad.

Sorry for your loss @Tully1980 I hope whatever you go for next brings you lots of fun and entertainment. But Long live the Turbo Tangerine. Do we get to nickname your hire car as the Turbo Turd? I imagine there is a small turbo in there somwhere.

@ryzzey that just demonstrates that this world is full of toss pots! No need what so ever :(

Why aren’t we allowed nice things!? ☹️

Been quoted around £800 as the scratch is so near the edges of the door the surrounding panels will need blending in. Going to have to be an insurance job unfortunately.

Was at a pub quiz at the time of the keying and came 22nd out of 25 teams so wasn’t a great night at all!

Picked up my 2nd Cupra this time a 280 Sub 8 model, my leased 290 BE will be going back soon

There seems to be a lot of travel on the brake pedal with Brembo’s, but it firms up when you press again shortly after & gives the sharp braking you would expect. Is this some design thing or could there be an issue? Wondered if it was to prevent the known disc warping issue

Brake pedal on mine is no different to the previous car. May just need a brake fluid change/bleeding. I’d also check the pad wear too.

According to the service manual Brake Fluid

After 3 years (first time) and then every 2 years

So I would check if its been changed.

Thanks guys. Will see what I can get done under the dealers warranty, at 25k I suspect it’s maybe ready for both fluid & pads. Might be a good time to upgrade a few bits
