What colour shall i do to 'spice' up my Engine Bay?

Yeh the pre-treatment you mention is just shot blasting. I would seriously doubt anywhere wont do this. That post on the other topic is generally mince for want of a better term.

Be very careful when you get your rocker cover done, that all the shot is cleaned out of the inside before you re-fit it. I have seen an engine killed due to shot rummaging around the engine

Just make sure they are aware that the rocker cover has oil under high temperature slushing around underneath it.

Might affect what type of powder coat they put on it maybe???

Something like a mild engine degreaser

And a stiff brush all round the inside of it. Then a high pressure hose would be your best bet.

I just spoke to someone else and he said he would make sure he masked it so that it didnt get inside and that he would clean it after to be even safer, he said it would be in A1 condition

Not really a prob about masking it etc......is the prep statges that cause probs if its not clean properly after

Prob be best if you gave it a clean yourself when you got it back....just incase

He said he would have to see it but he wouldnt have thought it would really need a pretreatment? He said he has never had a problem with flaking before etc

Also what metal is the Inlet Manifold, Rocker Cover & Charge Pipe?

i would go polished with the red hoses as it will stand out loads more in your engine bay i feel and the bright polished bits will go with you super shiney reflex wheels and the red will go with you interior! red and chrome look so good playing of one another especially when on a black car!
