I have made this thread into a Poll as there is two things i want to look into

First im not sure what colour to go for, i think i will get polished but bearing in mind some of my engine bay (strut brace and Samco hoses when they are fitted) is in red i dont know if powdercoated in silver or black would be better? Red is another option?

Secondly does anyone know where i can get this done that is not too expensive?

I think the engine bay would look sweet with parts either polished with red vac pipes/TIP/Strut brace etc....or powdercoated black with the red stuff.....

Yeah i was thinking either Polished or Black but i have heard that you have to be careful when getting them powdercoated as most places dont do a pretreatment on it so it ends up being really thin and flakes?

Red vac hose looks good (what I have) and also more reliable than the standard hoses. I've gone for black samco turbo hoses. Polished inlet, rocker cover and charge pipe look good but I'd prefer powder coating to be honest. In black with red hoses would look spot on.
Red strut brace would work and a black carbon BMC filter ;)
Polished hose clips make a big difference, also Neuspeed polished oil cap is nice but expensive. You could go further and replace all the bolts with chrome ones.
I like the OE look with a few subtle touches like Samcos, not a huge fan of the all chrome or polished but can appreciate it on a show car.
Best free mode is to get it really clean. I use AG engine and machine clean, AG trim restorer on the plastics and metal polish on the charge pipe.

Yeah at first i was going to get three colours, Polished, Black & Red but i dont know if just Polished & Red or Black & Red would look better?

i think the polished option would look awsome with your black cupra. you just have to maintain it every so often though. Nevertheless it would be worth it.

It would have to be maintained but would be worth it ;)

Go against the grain and be different. Black hoses with everything else powder coated pink or white

I want it to stand out but i dont want it to stand out because it clashes with the rest of the car!

I was thinking of keeping the Red for just the hoses as then its got a bit of extra 'spice' to match my Interior but not too much, you know?
