I've got the Parrot MKi 9100. Very good bit of kit.

It was supplied and fitted by Halfords. It's the basic screen type. The 9200 has the colour screen but other than that they're identical.

Check out my previous thread. You will need to scroll down the page a bit ;)

All the parrot 'gubbins' are behind the radio and then fed through to the glove box. A very neat job too.

Halfords will need to fit an adaptor for it to work with the stereo. It's about £20 for that.

Cheers

bigman - any chance of some pics showing where they've fed the stuff through to the glovebox I had a grope about but couldn't feel any obvious route into it, as i want to put the ipod end of the aux in cable in the glovebox.

Sorry mate but not really possible.

Everything is tucked behind the dash and not really accessible for photo's.

If I recall, the fitter dropped the small collection of leads (Ipod, USB and Aux) into the glove box from above.

I think there was a gap or plug he removed within the roof of the glove box for the cables to feed through. My Ipod sits very comfortably in the glove box. The USB input is also used for updating the firmware on the main unit. I've done so twice successfully.

I remember thinking it was a very neat job though and you can't see any trailing wires.

It's a great bit of kit. However, it's a bit pricey, about £220 including additional wiring pack. Fitting is about £40 I think.

I got free fitting because the 9200i wasn't in stock which offered free fitting. I haggled and got it free. If you try your luck, you never know! ;)

When I investigated what to go for I found other kits of the same capability to be (Dension I think was one plus the pack that Seat offer) a similar price.

What I like about it is the built-in voice dialling (it's learns your accent :D) and pausing your music as you make and recieve calls. I've tried the clip-on type ones but they were pants!

Have a good thunk mate! You can't go wrong with this though. Maybe Santa will bring it to you?? ;)

All the best,

Andy

TBH I couldn't tell you if that is the one or not.

Why not just get Halfords to supply and fit the SOT lead?

I know you're saving £7 by buying from fleabay but is it really worth the uncertainty and potential hassle if you do get the wrong one.

It's hardly mega bucks and besides you might even be able to get a discount if Halfords supply and fit the lot ;)
