Hi,

Can anyone tell me what battery I should be using in the keyfob for a 98' Cupra Sport? I would look at the old one but I don't think it's the right one or is dead... Just need to check.

Thanks

I'm using two CR2016 Lithium 3V batteries.

Batteries in mine are ok, it's just the "open" button on my key has a crack across it and the internals are a bit sqaushed. :(
27 presses of the button to operate, 21 of those presses stood right next to the car door - I won't be beaten by a bit of plastic and metal. :censored:

I've got remote central locking and I'm damn well going to use it

not sure if you have to re-program the key to the car if the batteries have been dud for a bit? mine was ok but i'm sure i've heard it mentioned before? mine was ok/worked straight away??

Yeah I am worried if i replace my dying batteries that it wont work; i have heard you have to reprogram them too,

but it could be another-
'how do you use a bung to blank off the rear-wiper' type of worry - i should just bloody try it probably, bigger things to worry about.
