West Midlands remap? TDI 150

So I am gonna get my car serviced and checked over next week, then I fancy a remap as I'm a tad bored with her otherwise.

Where is the best place to go for a remap on a PD TDI 150 in the west midlands (coventry) area? I don't want to travel all that far.

What can I expect to pay just for a bog standard stage 1 map and before/after power (should that be torque) run?

Car is otherwise standard on 130k (ish) but had a new clutch not long ago so hoping it will be fine with a remap for a while...

When I lived in Cov I went to Midland VW in Cannock for Custom Code. I'd definitely recommend them, Jody knows his stuff. They will service and remap.

Alternatively PTorque in Wolverhampton who will remap only, as far as I know

What did the remap cost? Was gonna go to my local for the service as otherwise it is a PITA to drop it off and pick it up again. Unless they do it 'while you wait'?

£300 but it was a few years ago so may be different. They'll service while you wait as long as you give them notice. I had a full service, timing belt change and stage 1 map done in about 2 1/2 hrs

Not stricly west mids but not far away, r t e c h Performance at Hinckley mapped my TDI 150 and kept the standard power/torque curve shapes and progressive power delivery but got 175hp/300lb ft. I aksed them for a conservative map (300lb ft torue limit) to work with a standard clutch.

A custom map with before/after dyno runs was good value for £250. Plenty of companies charge more for a generic map....

p-torque, a nice smooth delivery of power.
Don't boot it below 2,000 rpm to give clutch & dmf a chance of a longer life.
My improvement like BenG but mine is 130pd, great value & still puts a smile on my face.
