Mine make very little noise at all. And the performance is brilliant, even more so when they have warmed up a bit.

I have this exact same combo on at the mo, and they were a little rubby ounder breaking for the first few hundred miles, after a few thrashing sessions they have stopped now, can only hear them as slow speed with the drivers window open, the grooves cause a noise under breaking (you should have been in the car with the old discs on) that was noisy, but they never effected the performance of the breaking system. I understand your paranoia, im the same with noises from the car, but all disk and pad combos make different noises, depending on the depth of the groves, how many etc etc etc, i say if you have has it checked, dont bother wasting any more money persuing this issue, 3 garages can not be wrong really...can they! Stop driving the car like a granny, put a little trust in it and throw a few high speed stops at it repetedly, get it all mega hot and then see how you go...if the problem still exists then maybe...do something about it if you can hear it over the radio.

Nowhere near, i.e. Norway.
lol i don't want to get it hot and warped whilst in its 1st 100 miles!

Bedding them in takes about 500 miles....and i want to take it easy at first...done about 100 miles..

Bedding in and miles are so much fun! :D
If you think about it, is it breaking for 500 miles, or driving gently for 500 miles, or racing gently for 500 miles, or... The list goes on!

Yep, it's Friday, and I'm more strange than usual.

hmm well upon testing i get this....

sometimes it makes a noise like the griding sometimes now....

but basically when i get it is, ive braked and leave off the brake, then it makes the noise (bit like the caliper isn't coming back out to take the pad away from the disk) but if i brake again or at some point i can get it to go away!

VEry annoying!

nope its not a faint clicking noise, its like quite a big clicking noise, and it happens when you don't apply brakes intemitedantly as well....

and when you turn in sometimes...

im not that impressed tbh, badger bill rcommended them as the best disk and pad set up......cost me £520 this lot! Not best pleased!

DS2500 without question the best pads for fast road use yes.
grooved disks will ALWAYS be noiser than plains... they have grooves.. (Ultimax should be quieter than turbo grooved as narrower grooves, TG are louder rumble when braking hard... normal)
clicking tho? that'nt not a normal occurance.

Did they clean off the hub face before installing the disks? eg: make sure flat face for disk to sit on.. potential runout otherwise.

Difficult to understand a "noise" by forum description.

I suspect the sharp edges from machining, square edges on new pads were eating into each other, and have now worn off. smoothed..
glad its sorted..
