hi guys, was driving home yesterday afternoon, just came through the traffic lights to turn right and some old codger took his eyes off the road and slammed straight into the back of me. The fron end of his rover 400 was totalled, all sorts of crap spilling out from underneath the bonnet. I was then shunted into a small white citroen van. Luckily at the front there was very small scratch on my car and the front grills popped out, his van was in mint condition. the rear of mine took a good thumping, however it just looks cosmetic, so was chuffed really. couldnt believe how it with stud the impact so well, with so little damage. Great cars. Was due to be serviced on friday, think i will have to change date now. Will try to get a pic on.

yeah as the crumple zones could still be affected. Well worth checking incase of a more serious incident in the future!
yeah cheers guys, its an insurance job for sure, i have a Golf TDI at moment on hire, third party paying of course. Should have my baby back in a week, about £700 worth of damage.

I was rear ended (while stopped at a red light) by an Iveco Break Down Truck (irony) CARRYING a Ford Transit (Estimate 6-7 tonnes). Punted 50ft into a thankfully empty junction. Back on road in less than two weeks. No damage to side panels, tailgate designed to ride upwards. ****** hurt me though and was still finding tailgate glass 2 years on. Tough car
