So I have bought a 54 lcr it had the back door lock shut so I though this was just the normal problem with the locking module and smashed the old one out and replaced it. everything seemed fine till I went to turn the car on and the central locking made a noise and now it’s shut itself again has anyone came across this problem before or dose anyone no the way to correct this problem really don’t no what else to do really

Weird electrical fault with back door

I have had an issue with the main plug on drivers door you put in the lock as it never clicked in secure even though i secured it, cut and replaced it been fine since as I'm sure it shorted the switch on the door locks as it took out two locks but never had that issue, could be another faulty lock also you could disconnect the battery for a while too see if that helps
Yeh that could maybe be what’s happening to mine Iv already tried without battery in hope it would open the door again but no joy iv got it booked in to an auto spark to see if he can find the problem as I don’t think it can be anything mechanical I’ll write it down on this page incase anyone comes across it again in the future and it could maybe help someone out
Check for broken wires where the loom goes from the car into the door.
