Phoned up my local dealers because I need to get my clutch master cylinder replaced asap.

Spoke to some women who was obviously the receptionist, i ask to speak to service, she tries to put me through but comes back, sorry hes with a customer can i take your number and get them to call you back. I give my details.

20 mins later no call so i ring back, can i speak to service please, she tries to put me through, but she comes back again, sorry still with a customer, il get them to call asap.

So i go on lunch, 1 hour later still no call, so i get my mate to ring so it doesnt look like im being a pest. She instantly said sorry service are busy. So i thought bugger this, so I rang straight back and asked to speak to parts instead thinking they might have the booking details. Women put me through to parts no problem. Spoke to the guy but he couldnt book it in, so i ask for service and the parts guy puts me straight through! WTF

Also heres some prices that may surprise you

Seat price for master cylinder replace - £199 fitted

Skoda price for master cylinder replace - £130 fitted

VW price for master cylinder replace - £300

Skoda cheaper for everything? i.e. servicing?

It's just that I was thinking of taking my car somewhere a bit more local than my dealer and if Skoda can do it cheaper and still within the VA family then I might as well do that. Does anyone else get their Seat's serviced at Skoda/Audi/VW dealers???

Also because the level of service and overall consideration I've experienced at my dealer is shockingly bad.

It is a myth that parts are more expensive at Audi than for example Skoda, the same Part Numbers have exactly the same RRP throughout VWG brands.

Any difference in work quoted is likely down to differing labour rates though of course the dealers may be upping the parts price or the labour time required for the work.
