Waterpump on 1.9PD TDI 130bhp (ASZ Engine)

Well, half way through doing my cambelt on my ibiza 2003 1.9 TDI ASZ Engine.

And all was going well until i come to swap the waterpump. I tried to pop the new one in and it was a no-go.....

The impellar was too big, and even if the impellar went in im not sure that the seal would have sealed as its different.

Old part no : 045121019C
New Part no VAG gave me : 038121019E

Now, im not sure what the one they gave me was , i only have access to vag cat and looking on there neither of the above parts no's are correct now. Obviously the olf pump has been superceeded but by what????

Grrrr, now my car is out of action till weds as the stealers arent open till then....

Anyone got any ideas on the waterpump/?? What part no. should i be looking for???

See the difference?

You need the right one one the picture, the left one is used in engines past 2003, there is a smaller pump wheel on yours and a relocated o-ring gasket.

The correct number must be

045 121 011 B
for VIN up to 6L-3-000 000

and

045.121.011F

or

045.121.011H

for VIN from 6L-3-000 000 upwards

yep they gave me the one on the left. bad times....

I'll just have to wait till tuesday. So i need the first part number you stated above then?
