washer jets issue on 1.8 16v gti

i Recently had the clutch cable changed on the car and it seems that since the work was done my washer motor has packed up. i checked the fuse but this is fine as the wipers still work and they are on the same fuse, i checked the jets were clear and the level of the screen wash. when the switch is pressed there is no noise from the washer jet motor which to me would suggest some kind of electrical issue. any help with this would be much appreciated

have you checked the plug on the washer pump hasnt been dislodged or broken? if you can jump the pump straight off the battery that would confirm if the pump is dead or not.

plug is still intact and not dislodged not had a chance to jump it straight off battery yet will try tomoz.

You ever get this sorted? Mines packed up too and fuse is fine and its too cold/dark for further investigation at the moment.

yeah it turned out to be the motor luckily had a spare on my 'off the road' 1.4 just swapped em over!!

Yeah think my pump must have gone too. Will do some proper investigation tommorow.
