VW Sump Equivalent

Hi, I have a 1999 V5 AGZ engine that's had it's sump cracked.

I have a VW sump which I think might fit it but have had no joy from either Seat or VW in getting a straight answer. Can anyone help??

The part number for the proper Seat one is 066 103 601 FA
The VW number for the one I have is 021 103 601 L
If the VW one doesn't fit do you know of the right VW part number that will??

Also one Seat dealer said that I have an oil sensor in the sump and the other said on the AGZ engine I don't? Does anyone know who's right??

Any advice you have would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey Marty_V5,

many thanks for your reply. Managed to find out why I was having so many problems, the sump that's on there has had it's vw part number discontinued and replaced with another:doh:

The original one was 071 103 603 the new one is 071 103 601 and the Seat part number is 066 103 601 FA.

On removing my sump it didn't have a sensor either.

Thanks again,

Katt

I've just picked up a Passat V5 (needed more space) with an AGZ engine code and that had a sump replacement, the new number quoted above is the same on mine except mine has a C at the end??. The price is £113.74 + VAT. Hope that helps a bit
