Hi people, I have done a search but cant find much. The problem is when i brake a high speeds (80mph) my steering wheel vibrates. Also I have brakes that have began to squeak aswell. Can anyone shed any light on this. BTW the car is appoaching its 20K service.

Thanks

My brakes are squealing too, I put it through a 40k service 3 weeks ago and was told there was nothing wrong with them but I could opt to have a seperate brake service for ££s

My judder, also at 80mph, was attributed to wheel balancing.

Ye It could be. The front passeneger wheel was off this week to be refurbished. It got its 20K service soon so will get them to balance the wheels.

Thanks

Firstly......Get the car to a garage and have the front wheels re-balanced.

If you still have a problem check for disc warpage..... get a dial micrometer and turn the disc. Runout should be no more than 0.03mm.

Id tend to agree with disc warpage. Standard discs are rubbish and warp at the first sign off moderate breaking.

Get some new ones, tar-ox discs and mintex pads i highly recomend.
