Vibration as engine returns to idle

Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forum - I've got a 57 plate Leon FR TDi just over 18 months old with about 35k miles on it.

When the engine returns to tick over there is a vibration through the pedals - feels like a bearing or something on the way out - anyone else come across the same thing - it happens only when the revs drop from about 1500rpm to tick over...

Any help or info greatfully received

Cheers

It's a 2.0L lump of metal under the bonnet that runs on diesel. if you wanted silky smooth you should have bought a petrol one. They make all sorts of funny vibrations and noises. the engine will rock back and forth as you blip the throttle due to the twisting action of the torque. this is probably what you can feel.

You say it sounds like a bearing, go order one and fit it and let us know if it sorts it out.

Welcome to the forum by the way, it's always nice when peeps moan about a so called fault with their very first post.

Thanks for the welcome... :D:D

I thought I might be imagining it so I took the other one I have out (same age, same model, 34k miles, 1 month younger)...

Was only wondering if anyone else had come across similar... I'll get it into a dealer...
