... I thought all this crap stopped in the early 90's, i mean the things arent megabucks, im bewildered as to why people bother.

most of them are drug dependant scum, so even if they can sell it for a few £ it's helping them get that bit nearer to their next fix.

Sorry to hear of your woes barryg Nothing worse than having someone mess with your car, especially if it's new. I'm a bit paranoid about the stereo in my Elise as I upgraded it to a Sony HU with a sub behind the pax seat. Obviously most of the car's time is spent roofless, so I have to carry the faceplate off the HU with me everywhere and it's a full size clip off plate (seven inches long) not exactly convenient!
