VAGCOM in Hemel Hempstead or Aylesbury . . .

Hi,

I had the Engine / Pollution warning light come on this morning on my 03 Leon Cupra . . . . car still seems to be running OK.

Are there any kind members out there with VAG COM in the Aylesbury / Hemel Hempstead area to help me read the error code? (Work in Hemel Hempstead, Live in Aylesbury)

I don't have VAGcom but i do have an fault code reader if it helps?

I live in aylesbury and commute to hemel every day too.

Hi John,

Thanks for the kind offer of help, I decided to go for it and ordered a VAG COM cable. Should arrive today . . . if I can't get it working I'll drop you a PM.

Isn't the A41 a great road . . . . . . not normally too many problems and fairly fast following . . . . . .

Except for the accident last friday which wasn't fun

Let me know if you get it working i've developed a rough idle and i'm not sure whether to replace the maf

Got a new Sensor from "German Swedish and French" in Hemel Hempstead.
Only part available was Bosch part.
Lambda Sensor Part number 021 906 26B (021-906-262B) (GSF PN 930V60690)
£75 +VAT, seems expensive but not as much as the dealer route.
Cost to me to fix error,
Sensor - £88.13
20mm Spanner (needed a new one) - £8.00
VAG COM Cable - Ebay £13.99 (+4.99 Next day delivery) £19.00
+ I have all these bits for future use.

Dealer at a guess would be £250-£300?????

Once I had the car up on the Axel stands, it is realy just a 10 - 20min job.

Sorry to hijack, just wondered if anyone had VagCom/fault reader in the Herts area (specifically St Albans, Hatfield, WGC, Stevenage area) - no engine management light on but planning on getting it mapped in the near future and want to check there are no fault codes stored/active on it before getting it done (I know the place it's getting mapped at will check as well, but it's a good 2 hours away so ideally want to know of any problems beforehand)
