Are there any VAG commander experts out there? I have tried to get VAG commander 5.1 working on Windows XP Virtual machine but it won't connect to my car. The car is a 2007 SEAT Leon 140pd. I i can get it up and running I would like to fit a dash with full MFD.

I can't find any guides for VAG commander. I have also heard that it might not be compatible with my car due to the year?? Or could it be the fact i'm using with a VM? VAG tacho certainly doesn't work either.

Are the drivers set correctly?

yes, i'm pretty sure they are. I have followed all the instructions many times and still no joy. Even contacted the company and sent them screen shots of the laptop, they said it was all installed as it should be so it must be incompatible with this year

Depends what you are trying to do. Even the old China 1.4 will connect to my MY08 Leon, will read everything going (although cluster dump is encrypted) and will even change the mileage.

Bad cable, software or driver issue
