Dave FWIW, Im playing with version 409.1 as the 311 I got didnt want to recognise anything via Vista.

the drivers i just followed the instructions earlier in this thread and it seems to work (well have done a com check on the '2' but theres no faults found.. :shrug:

Yes, using that one. How many files do you have showing when you look at the driver?

I'm well pissed off now. I've just been out with a long extension and set up my old laptop with a monitor in the car. Plugged all in, went into Vag-Com. No functionality because I deregistered it in expectation of getting a new code from Uwe. But I can't get a new code because I can't get a serial number up on my new install.............

When I go into the Driver Details in System, I've got

C:\system32\drivers\ftdibus.sys
C:\windows\system32\ftdiun2k.ini
C:\windows\system32\ftdiunin.exe

I get:

C:\windows\system32\drivers\ftser2k.sys
C:\windows\system32\DRIVERS\serenum.sys
C:\windows\system32\ftserui2.dll

No, I'm stumped at the moment. I get the same response on Vag-com with the cable sitting in the house ....

(MOT on Friday morning - I wanted to give it a clean bill of health)

I'm available tomorrow upto 17:00 ish is its any help?
