Model Year 23/24 V2 Auto Start/Stop Info

Hello,

I've just bought a 2024 V2 and the auto start/stop isn't switching the engine off, but I can't work out why. I previously had an Arona and I used to get a pop up message on the centre screen that told me why the engine was still running. I can't work out where to find this on the Formentor. The manual just says it's in the driver information system but then doesn't say anything else.

Anyone know where I can find this? I thought it might be in vehicle info, but can't see anything

Hi,

If I understand properly, you're not the first owner.
Do you know if it could have been disabled with VCDS?
I know some VAG owners really hate S&S and have it disabled electronically.

In the infotainment system select "the car symbol" > Assistants > Smart Assistants.
When the symbol appears in orange
the system is on and will stop and
start. When the symbol appears in white the system is off.

Bear in mind it's been very cold so if you are only doing small journeys it may not switch off the engine as takes longer to get the engine up to temp.

I believe OP is trying to find some sort of pop up message display when the system doesn't stop the engine and tells why it hasn't stopped the engine.
Which I don't think I have seen in any car with this feature. I might be wrong.
As mentioned in above post that's the understanding. Page 214 onwards in user manual explains all the conditions.

I do have this kind of message on my Skoda Superb Mk3, though. At least, it a symbol (A with a rounded arrow, all crossed out).
I don't have the exact reason on the screen, but if I click on the Info button, it says 'S&S is unavailable'. Most of the time, probably because the 'start voltage limit' is not reached.
