wont have any probs with the kit, mirrors or the seats as my dad is an ex-panel beater type person... good with cars as long as doesn't involve engines basically (and then he's still not bad) he'll be fitting it with my expert (not) assistance for a fair price (a pint)....

Bloody Bargain....!!!

whilst waiting for the kit and bits to be fitted thought i'd have a crack at installing a sub & amp....

So bought a 12" JBL 1KW Sub and dug out my Renegade 1.5KW Amplifier, amp needed a bit of TLC so i gave it a rub down and sprayed it black thenmounted it to the sub enclosure - gonna put a handle on the top of the sub so i can just take it in & out when required.... Pics below... also fed all the wiring through the car under the carpets for installation one night this week...

I'll post some pics once in the boot & fully installed...

Here are the pics of the finished install, very basic and easy to remove if needs be but it really sounds great even with the 6x9s and the amp running from the same signal - have to have the gain wound down due to so much bass... I am impressed...

Also a big thanks to Adam1.4biza for his guide as it was perfect in every way!!!

Heres some pics...

Why whats wrong with JBL?? Sound good and wasnt that expensive - sub plus box was £50 from my local audio shop.

Valance kit will be fitted this weekend - weather permitting, its at my dad's in blackpool fully painted ready to go on, just need to drive up there and fit it.... Cant wait!

Just not to my taste mate thats all. A nice JL or Vibe SPL sub would do the trick ;)

JBL = Just bloody loud :cartman:

for cheap stuff that sounds alright, yea i would nto complain. i know several people take the piss out of my mutatnt sub and poxy little mutant amp, but i got it for £40 off a mate and if turned up its pretty dam good!
i have had several comments on how loud and clear the bass is out of it.. guess its down to the box design too!

Well the renegade amp was pretty expensive i believe, was from my step dads audi... the box construction is completely solid which helps the sound quality - considered a ported one but then its to punchy.... had a mutant amp for my 6x9s in my last car - it did its job perfectly...
