Urgent - Help Needed

Hiya

Sorry for making a new post but i have a problem with my car,

I thought it was all sorted, Problems were symptomatic of the ECU Relay and Fuel pump relay and also cleaning the Throttle body with some carb cleaner.

Today i had some problems where my car cut out and just wouldnt start for a while, when the car started it was all lumpy and running around 200 Rpm then it would cut out, This was after driving for about 15 miles with no problems, I got up to a roundabout and then the car died, Busy morning traffic too!!!
After getting it started i managed to drive the car but it would be very tempremental and kept cutting out.

I have now gone home and driven back and the problem didnt occur again

Very strange and all being tempremental!

The car is a 2.0L 8v GTi Cupra Sport
1999

I have replaced :

ecu Control Relay
Fuel Pump Relay
Dizzy Cap
Rotor Arm
HT Leads
Spark Plugs

Cleaned Throttle Body with carb cleaner

Do you guys have any Ideas whats up with it ?
Could it be idle control valve or a stepper motor ?

Really annoying as i need to fix it asap, I need to get to work and back daily.

Means ill have to take the bike and not really up for getting soaked (zxr 400 tho )

I would try a voltage test on your coil

crank position sensor ?!?

temp sensor also, get vagcom onto the job, itll give any inconsistant readings through logging the appropriate blocks.

Oh yeah sorry its had a new Coil Pack too,

That went not soo long ago. Back in September.

If it was a crank speed sensor would that kick up an error code on the ECU ?
I say that because i had the ECU Read the other day by my mate whos a mechanic and he said there was no Codes flagged up


How would i Get VAGCOM readout for my car ?

Is there anyone in the area with it or would i have to go to a VW garage ?

there's a crank position sensor on Ebay at the moment or PM 'smithy' he bought a couple from a local motor factors when he changed his

Well managed to get a replacement Throttle body and a Stepper motor from the local Vw Scrappie Place.

Ill hopefully get round to fitting this at the weekend as its getting dark now

Managed to get the whole unit for £52 inc Vat and 3 Monthes Warranty, That good ? or about right ?
