Upsolute - Pro's & Cons

I'm thinking of getting my PD150 remapped. So far, having read loads of threads on here I'm leaning towards upsolute, based largely on cost and customer service.

I would appreciate the thoughts and comments of those who have had experience of an Upsolute remap, or any valid reasons why I should not do this.

Thanks

Yep I have UPsolute and have had no problems at all with it installed for nearly 2 years. It was Simon who fitted mine.

no he can't - upsolute is upload & go - not custom

JIMYU wasn't implying that it was just UPsolute that Impossible do, IP offer custom maps as well as the UP ones. UPsolute can offer slightly different (though still generic ) maps should you want low smoke / high power / shagged clutch....:)

I don't know the ins and outs but I had upsolute for about a year then I went down to IP this month and mike tweaked it. I thought he customised upsolute but I could well be wrong.

He only charged me £100 because I "had the basic map already"....

Had my Leon 110 done for a year now, No problems whatsoever so much easier to drive slow or fast. Simon is top class! comes to your house too. Cost me £305.

I am sure Simon gives the option of either serial port download or chip upgrades, not sure on the price differences though. From what i remember when he was here it works better on some cars download compared to chip.
He is very competant, he certainly looked like he knew his stuff.

I'm leaning towards Upsolute on my Passat. Had a quote of £295 from Simon, plus I've heard countless people sing his praises regarding customer service.

Simons a lovely chap

Had UP on my 180 LC and it was very very smooth.
I fooked about alot with that car ........n75's, inductions, bleed valves, exhausts and the Up code took it all in its stride and never went into limp:) .
Would push 21psi and settle back at 12 psi at the red line.
May not be as aggresive as some code but is superb value for money.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this softaware
