Ok, so i took my car in for a service and cambelt kit afew weeks ago and had a few issues with the quality of work. Been dealing with them for years. And it looks like their decent mechanic has left and a no care taken rush merchant has taken his place.

Anyway, just been under the bonnet checking my oil level etc and thought id take a look around.

Found that the lower half of the top timing belt cove isnt clipped into the lower cover properly. Plastic tang sticking out.
Pix to follow.

I REALLY dont want to take it back to them.

Ive had the engine running and cant hear any rubbing noises from that area.

So my options are either i refit it properly or ask badger5 to sort it when i book the car in, in the new year.

Doed the engine mount need removing to fit it properly or just a the pupes that are in the way?

Short of debris getting in there and causing damage, is it ok to leave it as is for now?
Done about 500 miles since it was done.

To be honest, i want to leave it for b5 to do it. If i try to do it curbside and unknowingly snap the tang off, it could be fatal for the engine.

Opinions from those who will know please?
