Difference between 5dr hatch and ST.
Known fault on pre-FL and FL cars. There is a stress raiser around the washer nozzle and cracks propagate - I guess this is where your is broken?
If the car is in warranty get them to replace it.
By the way, I’m a fairly competent engineer and found the lens replacement to be an absolute PITA!

So far, 3 x replacements on pre-FL FR hatch (5 years/135k miles), 1 x replacement FL Cupra ST (3 years/25k miles). I daren’t even go out to look in case it’s gone again!!!
And don’t get me started on the near side front wheel arch liner…

Any tech bulletin ref the light cracking / stress point to take to the dealer make it easier to get a replacement ease the process.
I am in on the 20th for an MOT, and will mention this at the same time as mine is cracked noticed a while back, was not when bought so happened sometime, maybe over frost in winter, see what response I get and update, don't think it's leaking seems a weak point, but better than my old golf that used to fill the boot and wet the roof lining when the pipe came off over winter time.
MOTed today didn’t affect it as not in light part and replacement ordered under warranty. Awaiting part delivery for fitting.

Well i had the car looked at this morning finally. They refused warranty, saying there is no evidence of a manufacturing defect and no technical bulletin about it being an issue.
I argued and said others have had it done, but no go.
So question is whats the part number, ill have to do it myself.

If you can be bothered, ring Seat Customer Service / Talk to Seat.
Log it and raise that you think that it’s a manufacturing defect - evidence that many are failing in the same place (use the links from here), and that inconsistent approach is being used with respect to warranty. Will take a couple of weeks, but I expect that it will go in your favour.
Is it not maybe a design error - but with same outcome, the blame lies with SEAT and the responsibility lied with the importer who are SEAT UK.

Yes - you are correct that it’s a design error over manufacturing defect. It’s fatigue cracking from the stress raiser around the washer exit point in the lens.
I am in next week for the replacement to be fitted to mine, will check on the part number and if any bulletin number and share, also noticed the wife's now gone 1 month out of warranty I did check a month back and nothing (maybe frost related) so will also be asking for that one and update on how they respond, sorry about yours but will get all the info I can and share once I have it...
Dealer can be very hit and miss, the dealer I purchased from not very helpful, my local one for once is better (at the moment) I expect I will be ordering one for the wife..
This is a bit strange in as SEAT seems to suffer from plastic light clusters failing more than any other VW Group marque - or an awareness of it gets more public exposure. Is this due to the SEAT styling being more "exotic" than the other VW Group marques, so more risks are being taking over design and so plastics fail.
My daughter's late 2009 Ibiza SC had water ingress issues with both the rear light clusters which I sorted out by applying sealant into the joining areas of the plastic parts. A friend of my wife, who thinks they have a very good relationship with their local SEAT dealership, has had over the past 2 Leons, within warranty, had to pay for getting rear cluster replaced, one twice - but I'd doubt if they would have contested these issues. I've not seen them face to face for a couple of years, so I can't say if they have also had this high level brake light issue.
Okay, my mate's son had to replace a rear light cluster on his 2006 Polo recently, but at that age, not so much as an annoying issue as plenty good quality rear light clusters are now available via scrappy's.
