I got my car remapped again as my last map i wasnt happy about, too smoky on spool up, not smooth and very noisy. I decided to try a tuner from poland thats active on another forum as i heard good things about him.
He is selling DIY tuning kits where you can you get a blank chip and a socket and an eprom programmer. He sends you files via email and you load them on to your chip and put in the socket of the ECU, fortunately i have soldering skills, also he keeps sending you maps until your totally satisfied
all for 275 euro delivered!
However you can avoid the soldering which i have done, i bought one of those ECU flashers that you see on ebay and loaded my maps this way very successfully and if it went wrong i had the epromm programmer , those flashers are very good as they work well.
He sent me 3 maps in total to try. to fine tune but all seemed very good and i have to say this guy knows his stuff...
my car is so much better, firstly there is no smoke, same as stock and i have over 200bhp!
, secondly its smoother and less noisy and the torque doesnt come in with that decieving bang it accellerates like a petrol, also the accelerator feels better, its not on/off. It has also taken half a second of my 60-100 times.
