Universal Seat Subframes - Help!?

Hi all,

been looking into bucket Seats, and i have read that you can get Mk4 golf subframes that'll fit the Leon, but my question is, are these Mk4 subframes universal to all seats or do you have to find out what make the seat is?

If i was to buy unbranded Buckets, Demon tweeks sell universal subframes, but under various makes (sparco etc)

Help!? im more confused than when i started!!

to save another topic:

i dont fancy stripping the rear for harnesses, so can i keep the original belt system with buckets?

seat subframs can be universal any ways, its simple, just need to go to B&Q and get a metal "strip" got to be strong though, then just bolt that to the frame and drill homes where they need to be, i used cobra frames in my old focus and had shatty universal seats on them and used 2 bits of metal as brackets, id does mean that normally the seat can be a little higher than it would be though.

the belt thing, any one who says you can only use a harnes if you have buckts need shooting in the face, think of scooby, evos, 206 gti, integra, civic type R etc etc, all have buckets, all have normal seat belts
i never had harneses in my focus

hah! yeah i understand you can have buckets without harnesses... but what im getting at is, unless the subframe comes with a belt clip, will i be able to fit my pre-tensioners onto the subframe?

the seller im talking to is a little vague with his help all i got was it has universal subframes from demon tweeks then said they are cobra type adjustable mounts... What!? lol

I fitted cobra seats and seat frames to my Leon and the seat frame had a mounting point for the belt clip.

99% of "propper" frames have the belt point, its the universal ones that dont have them
