hey read this thread through twice and am thinking along the same lines was gonna pay the 600 for the forge but mite try this until i have the money, where are you thinking of gettin the piping work from? Nev_LCR can you keep me updated on this post as my mechanics skills arent the best :redface: and not a fan of cutting bits off.

not a problem bud, will be ordering next week and getting cracking, ill take some pics as i do it,

RickC has a build thread on his purple LCR, pics on there of his custom set up,

The new crash bar has just 2 mounting brackets that hold the cooler on thats the only difference.
you need to move the horn to the N/S corner out the way.

all i will do is make som brackets up and bolt to the crash bar or to the frame in front of the rad, the system will be an easy setup with a total cost of £178.

Thanks nev, I have been looking at the same intercooler as you but putting it on lc, know there are room issues for the piping with there only being one ic on the lc and the throttle body being on the same side but hoping to overcome this. Is the connection for the inlet from where the old ic would be the same size as the connection to the throttle body or does it need increasing?

i see the intercooler but where you getting pipes from? im going to order them friday, also got to get cambelt done an new brakes so expensive month for my car this month, will the intercooler add much power? or is it just to keep temperture down. silly question but just wondering? cheers

im mainly getting it for track and ring trips, thats when i will benafit from it,

looks nice nev, FMIC dont add power just torque and keeps the engine temp down on long runs like on the track.

i felt a difference when mine was fitted and a pipe stopped blowing off, but it was loads better
