Right.....after the new-found handling of my Toledo 20vt after having the AP suspension kit/new top mounts fitted,i have decided its time to put the 18 inch 8J alloys on.
I have seen these tyres for a ridiculously low price of £65 a corner and was just wondering if anyone had any experience of them...

I've only read great things about the rsp3, unreal grip but won't last long

I was thinking they must be on the soft side to be so good in the wet. I really want a tyre that is taut and responsive in the dry and am prepared to sacrifice a bit of wet weather grip...dont really boot it when its wet anyway.

Reviews tell they are very soft and not hard-walled.

I have Goodyear assymetric f1 2 and they are amazing tyres, best I've had. I also like Yokohama but then I prefer soft tyres with more grip

Well, still havent decided on tyres.
Regarding the wheels i am putting on,rather than the offset which i have read about, surely the important dimension to match up with the original wheels is the distance between the wheel mounting face and the inside surface of the wheels. The 18 inch ones i have measure 150mm so i will have to whip an original wheel off to check.

I have to say the Rainsport3's are unreal in the wet / standing water! They just disperse the water, no drama! Good grip in the dry. I have the XL versions (did notice they do a non-XL version for the same price) and I haven't noticed much flex in the side walls.

I do quite high milage (~30'000miles / year) and I have noticed I'm due to change mine again so looking to go ontop my second set of fronts in about 8-9months (so maybe 20'000miles/pair life).

For the price you can't go wrong imho!

Try these, a bit cheaper
Tyrelaeader.co.uk at the moment £61 each delivered

Do find there prices can fluctuate daily,So much so just bought some Michelin crossclimate and the price dropped by £10 each during one day last week.
So if you can wait it sometimes pays.
delivery usually 2-3 days from germany.

Camskill has them for £61.40ea (+£2.99 shipping ea) =£257.56 and if you order before 2.30 pm today they'll be despatched same day for delivery tomorrow. I've used Camskill numerous times and cannot fault their service!

[edit]
I've also used Tyreleader before and it ended up being 5/6days delivery. Cheaper, but slower. Depends if you can hold off.

^ This. Bought my Sessantas from them earlier in the year (they're an awesome tyre too) for about £62 / corner ... ordered at midday and were delivered the next day at 10am!

Well I've changed my mind and gone for G/E Assymetric 2. I have read too many references to the Uniroyal's sidewalls being soft and squidgy which is exactly what i don't want...

Also have RS3's fitted, great tyre, my only gripe is they pick up stones easily and I have to get them out to stop the noise, grip is brilliant and they are quieter than the rs2's also dry grip has improved over the rs2's aswell
